Ready to break into tech at LinkedIn? This week’s Feature Friday highlights LinkedIn’s REACH Apprenticeship Program, and they just opened applications for two exciting roles:

If you’ve been looking for an alternative pathway into a top-tier tech company, this could be it. Let’s break down the application process and timeline so you can apply confidently before the deadline: June 22, 2025 at 11:59 PM PT. ⏳

✍️ Step 1: Essay Application

This isn’t your average resume drop. LinkedIn is looking for your drive, curiosity, unique background, and hustle—not just your technical skills.

You’ll answer 3 essay questions designed to show who you are beyond the code. Responses must be complete and submitted before the deadline!

🛠️ Step 2: Take-home Project (July–August)

If you move on, you’ll be invited to complete a coding-based take-home project.

For backend roles, you’ll build logic-driven, non-UI components of an application. It's a chance to show your real-world problem-solving and backend dev chops!

💻 Step 3: Virtual Interviews (July–September)

Expect:

  • A technical interview where you’ll explain and expand your take-home project

  • A soft skills interview to talk about your goals and who you are beyond your code

  • A REACH Meet & Greet to get to know the apprenticeship community

💼 Step 4: Offer & Onboarding (September)

If selected, you’ll:

  • Receive your offer 🎉

  • Learn about your future team and apprenticeship track

  • Join a cohort of apprentices for a custom onboarding experience
